Job Description:

Required skill

Relational database design, as well as development.
Experience of the telecoms industry and associated technologies.
Sound knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
XML, HTML and the document object model.
Struts, JSP and tag libraries.Object Orientated Analysis, Design and Development.
J2EE Technologies, principally EJB and JSP
Java and Java User Interface development
Relational Database development, especially in an Oracle environment.
Experience in Web-based technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

The UK Development unit (Bath UK) of the Amdocs OSS Division is seeking a Contract Developer to join its Development team, working at the cutting-edge of enterprise technology.

The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of the software product lifecycle, from detailed design to formal testing, including test-automation, and may also be involved in prototyping and proof of concept activities. Opportunities may be arise to undertake occasional technical leadership roles, if required, such as scrum master.

They will work in a fast-paced agile environment with a team of engineers all working together to produce high-quality and technically advanced solutions, using various Web-based and enterprise technologies alongside RDBMS work.

Detailed design of a set of complex software components from high-level design information.
Implementation and supervision of the implementation of software components.
Peer review of software design, implementation and documentation.
Mentoring and supervision of more junior engineering staff.
Reviewing the software design, and implementations produced by team members.
Co-ordination of the activities of a project team.
Producing and validating estimates for software implementation
Have a good academic background with appropriate degree (2.1 minimum preferred)
Have 2 to 5 years’ industrial software development experience, post degree.
Have a track record of developing high quality software to exacting standards in a team environment.
Have an ability to plan work and to execute to that plan.
Be able to effectively review the design and implementation of software to ensure quality. company profile
